Locally owned and operated, St. Pete Sailing Charters offers unforgettable day sails and sunset cruises aboard a carefully curated fleet of sailing yachts on Tampa Bay—each chosen for comfort, character, and exceptional experiences on the water.
Owners Nick and Kelly spent years sailing the Caribbean aboard their flagship yacht, Satori, sharing their adventures through the popular Sailing Satori channel before returning home to raise a family and bring that same passion for sailing to Tampa Bay. Today, they’re proud to share the water with locals and visitors alike.

Cancellation & Weather Policy
We understand that plans can change, and we do our best to keep things simple and flexible.
Cancellations
• Cancellations made 3 or more days before your scheduled departure will receive a full refund.
• Cancellations made within 3 days of your scheduled departure are non-refundable.
Weather
Your safety and experience are our top priorities. If the Captain determines that conditions are unsafe, you will have the option to:
• Reschedule your charter, or
• Receive a full refund
We closely monitor weather conditions and will reach out if anything looks questionable leading up to your trip.
We do this full time and this is our livelihood year round. Many other operators are seasonal, retired, or owners just trying to pay for their personal expenses of owning a boat. Our vessel is documented and registered under our business’s LLC and used solely for business operation. Many have paid Captains who do not have the same expectations of quality that us as owner/operators have. We take your satisfaction personally.
We are a barefoot boat and ask guests to come aboard without shoes.
Only in extremely cold weather may boat shoes be allowed, and if so, we’ll let you know the day of your charter.
We take pride in keeping our yacht exceptionally clean — one of the many little things that help make the experience special.
Yes — you’re welcome to bring alcoholic beverages onboard.
A few simple guidelines help us keep the boat clean, safe, and comfortable for everyone:
• Soft-sided coolers only
• If your cooler is large and has wheels and handlebars, it’s too big and not allowed
• Glass bottles are okay
• Glass stemware is not allowed
• Red wine and other staining beverages are not allowed
• Please enjoy responsibly — drinking is welcome, but overly intoxicated behavior is not
Yes — you’re welcome to bring food onboard.
A few guidelines help keep things easy on a sailboat:
• Finger foods are best
• Please avoid foods that are greasy, drippy, or overly saucy
• Lightweight items like lids, napkins, paper, and plastic can easily blow around in the wind
• Large or bulky food setups are not recommended
If you’d rather keep it simple, you can add our Luxury Picnic Package at checkout and let us handle it for you.
No — pets and comfort animals are not permitted onboard.
If you have a service animal or other accommodation question, please reach out before booking and we’ll review it directly.
Our 2-hour, 3-hour, 4-hour, and sunset sails take place in Tampa Bay, generally near downtown St. Petersburg and in the waters between St. Pete and the Skyway Bridge.
We typically stay within a few miles of shore at all times.
Routes may vary depending on weather, wind, timing, and the type of experience that makes the most sense that day.
Your safety and experience are our top priorities.
We closely monitor weather conditions leading up to your trip. If the Captain determines that conditions are unsafe, we will cancel the charter and offer you the option to:
• Reschedule your sail, or
• Receive a full refund
If conditions change during your trip, the Captain may adjust the route or return early to keep everyone safe.
We’ll always communicate clearly and guide you based on real conditions — not just the forecast — so you can feel confident you’re in good hands.
Yes — we can accommodate up to 8 passengers on our vessel Satori.
Because of Coast Guard regulations, groups larger than 6 require a different charter arrangement, along with a small per-person fee for the 7th and 8th guests.
And yes — children and infants do count toward the total passenger count.
If you have a larger group, feel free to reach out, and we’ll walk you through the options.
Dolphin sightings are common on our sails, but they are never guaranteed.
We also regularly see pelicans and other local wildlife, so there’s almost always something fun to spot along the way.
No — no sailing experience is needed at all.
Our charters are designed to be relaxing and enjoyable for beginners, and your Captain will handle the sailing. All you need to do is show up, get comfortable, and enjoy the experience.
We recommend bringing whatever helps you stay comfortable and enjoy your time on the water.
Most guests bring:
• sunscreen
• sunglasses
• a hat
• a light jacket or cover-up, depending on the weather
• drinks in a soft-sided cooler
• simple finger foods, if desired
We are a barefoot boat, so please plan to come aboard without shoes unless we let you know otherwise due to unusually cold weather.
